Clouds, Kazoos and Cowboys

In Science, we have been observing objects in the sky. We went outside one day to observe the clouds and read a story. Our class has learned about different types of clouds: thin feathery clouds, big fluffy clouds, and layered clouds. In Reader's Workshop we have been working on following pictorial directions and in doing so we each made a kazoo using a toilet paper roll! Finally, last Friday our kindergarten pod showed their support for our Dallas Cowboys as they went against the Green Bay Packers. Go Cowboys!

Happy New Years!

Happy 2015!! When our kindergarten class returned to school after winter break we learned about New Year's Resolutions. We discussed how resolutions are where you look back over the past year and decide to try to do something better or try something new. We each made a resolution for 2015-some of our resolutions included being a better friend, learning how to ride a bike, reading more books, and helping out friends.

Newman's First Annual Snow Ball 2014

Our class enjoyed participating in Newman Elementary's first annual Snow Ball before the winter break! We took part in fun activities such as face painting, "ice" skating, a bean-bag toss, a limbo contest, and a dance competition. It definitely felt like a winter wonderland

Waiting "patiently" for everything to begin!
Enjoying a little ice skating!

Tahj won the dance competition!!
